Just one quick post to let you know I updated all of the lists on the site. There’s a big quantity of updates in there including Hook coming to UHD Blu-ray with Dolby Atmos.
As I’m back from vacation, I should be able to update the sites on a more regular basis now, sorry for the delays!
Just a quick update to let you know that I’ve update the site lists with a ton of updates, including an official date for Solo: A Star Wars Story (September 25).
A lot of catalog titles have been included for UHD releases: the first three Fast and the Furious movies, the first three X-Men movies, The Big Lebowski, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Panic Room and Philadelphia.
A lot of them are in DTS:X by the way, Universal is saving the format on its own right now.
Also please note that 2001: A Space Odyssey is now dated for release on October 30th.
I’ve been busy over the last two weeks and it’s been at the same time a huge timing for Ultra HD announcements including Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and yes, even DTS:X!
I updated all of the site listings, but here are the most important news:
The three Avengers movies are coming on UHD with Dolby Atmos on August 14
America Psycho is coming to UHD Blu-ray on September 25
Jurassic World will feature a DTS:X soundtrack on its Ultra HD Blu-ray release (no date yet)
The Jack Ryan movie collection (five movies) is now confirmed for August 21
Robin Hood (the 2010 version) is coming to Ultra HD Blu-ray with DTS:X from Universal on September 11)
Sherlock: Season 1 also coming to UHD on November 6
The Punisher and Punisher: War Zone are coming to Ultra HD Blu-ray with Dolby Atmos on September 25
Just a quick post to let you know that I did a most needed update to the lists on the site.
A lot of catalogue titles confirmed for 4K Blu-ray including Transporter 3 (August 7, Dolby Atmos/Vision), American Psycho (September 25), The Punisher and Punisher: War Zone (both on September 25) and both Matrix sequels (no date yet).
Just a quick update as it’s been a pretty quiet week to let you know that Christine is now confirmed on Ultra HD Blu-ray for September 11 with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
I also added National Lampoon’s Van Wilder coming with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision for August 14.
Quick site update today, with the most important news being that A Quiet Place is now dated for July 10 and that it will feature both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on its Ultra HD Blu-ray version. The regular Blu-ray will also feature Dolby Atmos, a good move from Paramount to continue supporting the format.
Just a quick update to let you know that Sony Pictures will be releasing Bad Boys and Bad Boys 2 on Ultra HD Blu-ray, with a Dolby Atmos remix, this September.
Also, Rampage is now dated for release on July 17, as we already knew the 4K disc will feature Dolby Vision and Atmos, while the Blu-ray will feature a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.
Sorry for the delay between updates as I had to travel for work.
Big site update today with first and foremost the confirmation that Ready: Player One will have both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos when it comes out on July 24 on Ultra HD Blu-ray.
Rampage will also see light of day with both Dolby formats, but no confirmed date yet.
A lot of sites are reporting that Clear and Present Danger, The Hunt for Red October and The Sum of All Fears are coming on 4K Blu-ray, so I added those to the lists. The same goes for the initial Predator trilogy with Predator, Predator 2 and Predators.
I finally listed Solo and Deadpool 2 to the upcoming Atmos 4K discs, as those are pretty much sure.
It’s been a pretty quiet week, the most important news being that The Incredibles is now confirmed for an Ultra HD Blu-ray release for June 5 with a Dolby Atmos remixed track.
In other news, The Death of Superman anim 4K release is confirmed for August 7 and on the same date we’ll be getting a 4k release of both G.I. Joe live action movies.
It’s been a slower week so far on the home theater front, but the big announcement is the confirmation that the new Tomb Raider movie will be released on UltraHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on June 12. The UHD version will feature Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.
The press release is a bit flaky regarding the 3D and Blu-ray releases, but based on previous Warner releases, it’s same to assume that the Atmos track will be on the Blu-ray release and not the 3D one. I’ll update you if this changes.
Also, the Western movie The Quick and The Dead will be released on UltraHD Blu-ray with Dolby Atmos on July 17.
Impressions about 4K Blu-ray, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and more
