Microsoft announced this week that the Xbox One and Xbox One S will now offer Dolby Atmos gaming. This will also come to PC gaming at the same time but not really news as it was already done on Battlefront.
Also please note that Microsoft made available for preview users the new bitstream features for Blu-rays and Ultra HD Blu-rays (on the Xbox One S) so you can listen to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X movies with the console.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
The Harry Potter universe movie will be available on Ultra HD Blu-ray will be available on Ultra HD Blu-ray, no official date yet.
The Girl On The Train
Universal will release this triller on Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray on January 17 with a DTS:X track on both editions.
Deepwater Horizon
Lionsgate will release the action movie on Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray on January 10 with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack on both editions.
Planet Earth II
The BBC will release the new documentary on Ultra HD Blu-ray. No official date yet.
The Accountant
Warner has confirmed The Accountant on Ultra HD Blu-ray for January 31.
Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk
Sony will release this movie on Ultra HD Blu-ray on February 7.
Quick news to let you know that Sony and MGM will release The Magnificent Seven on December 20th on Ultra HD Blu-ray with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack which will be a brand new mix.
Quick post after being away for a while, sorry ! Here are the news of the week concerning immersive audio and Ultra-HD Blu-ray:
Morgan
The science-fiction trailer will be available on Ultra HD Blu-ray on December 13th. In that case, no immersive audio, but a typical DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 track.
Battleship
The action movie will get a new Ultra HD Blu-ray release on January 17 with a brand new DTS:X remix.
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back
The movie will be available on Ultra HD Blu-ray, but no official release date / audio formats yet.
Blair Witch (2016)
The reboot of the horror movie will be available on Blu-ray on January 3rd with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.
Sony Pictures just announced that two catalog titles, Underworld and Resident Evil: Afterlife will be available on Ultra HD Blu-ray with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.
Underworld will be available on December 27th while Resident Evil: Afterlife will be released on January 17th 2017.
Lionsgate just announced that the action movie Mechanic: Resurrection will be released on Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray on November 22.
Both editions will be offered with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, which will be a remix as the movie was not presented in theaters with Atmos.
Again, quick update to let you know that Warner confirmed that all of the Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray will feature Dolby Atmos.
Quick update to let you know that Warner Brothers will release Sully on both Blu-ray and UltraHD Blu-ray with Dolby Atmos. No release date has been confirmed yet.
Sorry for being so late on this one, but here are some new releases information on object based audio and UHD Blu-ray.
The Secret Life of Pets
No date yet or official announcement for this one, but all confirmation confirms that this will be launched by Universal on Blu-ray 2D, Blu-ray 3D and Ultra HD Blu-ray all with Dolby Atmos.
Nerve
Finally, we have a new DTS:X title announced ! Starring Emma Roberts, Nerve will be released by Lionsgate on Blu-ray with DTS:X on October 25th.
Game of Thrones Season 6
Quick confirmation also on Game of Thrones Season 6 being offered with Dolby Atmos on November 15.
The 20th Century Fox continues their strong recent support of Dolby Atmos with the announcement of Ice Age : Collision Course on Ultra HD Blu-ray with Atmos on October 11th. Note that as usual, only the UHD version will have Atmos while the regular Blu-ray will have a DTS HD Master Audio track.
