Quick site update tonight with the following news:
The M. Night Shyamalan movie Glass will be feature Dolby Atmos on its Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray. No date confirmed yet.
Creed II is coming on Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray with Dolby Atmos on March 5. The 4K disc will also have Dolby Vision.
The catalog title Man on a Ledge will be released on Ultra HD Blu-ray on April 9th with both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.
The first three Captain America titles are coming to Ultra HD Blu-ray, but no dates confirmed yet.
I also have to note that once again, we are at a time when there’s absolutely no DTS:X title announced and upcoming, nor on Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray. This also includes any IMAX Enhanced titles. I imagine we’ll some announced in the couple weeks.
A lot of new content was announced over the last week, featuring Dolby Atmos and some Dolby Vision.
Here’s a quick list:
Overlord (February 19), Robin Hood (February 19), Mary Queen of Scots (February 26), Mortal Engines (March 12) will all feature Atmos on Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray and will have Dolby Vision on the 4K disc. Note that Robin Hood will also have HDR10+, becoming the first disc to have this and Dolby Vision.
Green Book (March 5) and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (March 12) will both have Dolby Atmos on Blu-ray and UltraHD Blu-ray.
Lord of War will feature Atmos on its Ultra HD version.
Quick site update today with some interesting news:
Hunter Killer is coming on Blu-ray and UltraHD Blu-ray on January 29. Both versions will have Atmos sound while the 4K release will also feature Dolby Vision.
The Little Mermaid is coming to Ultra HD Blu-ray, no date yet.
The same goes for The Karate Kid, the original one.
Finally, the new version of Suspiria is coming on Blu-ray with Atmos on January 29.
I want to start by saying I’m sorry for the lack of updates over the last two weeks. I just updated the lists on the site with some new titles.
The biggest news is that the first two How To Train Your Dragon animated movies are coming to Ultra HD Blu-ray on January 22, both with a brand new DTS:X soundtrack.
I also added A Simple Favor to the list of movies confirmed with Dolby Vision on UHD Blu-ray and added a bunch of other new upcoming titles.
