The 20th Century Fox announced last week that a new version of The Martian, this time in an Extended Edition with an added 10 minutes of footage. The new cut will be available on Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray on June 7th.
Sadly, still no Dolby Atmos love for The Martian from Fox.

Sony just announced that the fantastic movie Labryrinth with David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly will be available on UltraHD Blu-ray on September 20th.
The movie will include a brand new Dolby Atmos soundtrack which could be very interesting considering the type of movie it is.
Sorry for being late to post this, but Universal confirmed last week that they will be supporting the Ultra HD Blu-ray formats.
They confirm a first list of titles, with no firm release date or specs yet, but had say that object based audio will be part of their releases, which is not surprising.

The 20th Century Fox confirmed that Deadpool will get a simultaneous release on Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray.
No details on the audio format yet, but there’s not a release date associated with the release: May 10th. There is information that the Ultra HD version will offer a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.

Paramount will release Zoolander 2 on Blu-ray on May 24th with a DTS:X track.
Again, this is a remix from home as the movie did not receive an object based mix in theaters. I’m beginning to see a trend with more and more remixes done in DTS:X (except for Sony on UHD) while original Atmos being released that way. Anyway, the more object based tracks the better it is.

Amazon has started to take preorders for Eddie The Eagle on Ultra HD Blu-ray coming from the 20th Century Fox on June 14th.
Based on the press release, the movie will include an immersive audio soundtrack, but as the format is not confirmed and this is Fox, I will wait to add it to those lists.

Universal Studios announced today that London Has Fallen, starring Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman will be available on Blu-ray with a DTS:X track on June 14th
This is going to be a brand new immersive audio track as the movie was not mixed that way in theaters. It seems we’re starting to see more and more remixes done in DTS:X, which is great news.

We knew it was coming, but we finally have a date for Game Of Thrones Steelbook Editions of seasons 3 and 4 with Dolby Atmos. Both seasons will be available starting June 7th.

Amazon now has preorder link which seem to confirm that Sony Pictures will release Risen on Ultra HD Blu-ray on May 24th.

Amazon has started to take preorders of Batman v Superman and the formats include an Ultra HD 4K release. No date or audio formats have been confirmed yet but I’ll keep you posted as soon as I hear more.
