Home Theater fanatic since 1999, I've been writing for multiple sites over the last 15 years regarding technology, mostly in French. I also blog for TousDesGamers.com and occasionally do technology talks with Jeff Fillion on RadioPirate.com and NRJ.
News are still slow in the last few weeks, which is not surprising considering the lack of movies released in 2020.
The latest update is that all four Indiana Jones movies are coming from Paramount Pictures over the summer. This should prove interesting considering the quality of catalog releases from Paramount.
Clearly one of the most important movies of my youth, Spaceballs is officially coming to Ultra HD Blu-ray from Kino on April 13. Sadly no object based audio remix will be provided, but it will still be a glorious way to see this science fiction spoof movie.
Another site update this week with the confirmation that Tenet is coming to Ultra HD Blu-ray on December 15. No object based audio here sadly, which is typical for Christopher Nolan.
Small site update today with again some catalogue titles updates including 2012 that will be available on UDH Blu-ray on January 19 with Dolby Atmos. How refreshing it will be to watch a movie about a disaster year…
Long overdue site update today with a lot of catalog releases considering movie releases are still at a halt due to COVID-19.
The big thing of course is that both The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and The Hobbit Trilogy are coming to Ultra HD Blu-ray on December 1st and will feature Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. This will be a feast for the ears and eyes.
Quick site updates today, which was more than overdue.
A lot of new announcements, mostly of catalog titles due to COVID-19. The most interesting one being Total Recall coming on December 8 on 4K Blu-ray with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.
Quick site update after a few weeks today. A lot of new releases confirmed, mostly catalog titles considering the current slowdown/halt of the movie industry.
The most notable title is Whiplash, coming on 4K Blu-ray on September 22 with Dolby Atmos.
One more superb special edition has been announced on Ultra HD Blu-ray, this time for Beetlejuice. No technicals yet, I’ll update the site when we learn more.
Arrow Video have confirmed a superb Collector’s Edition of the classic Flash Gordon coming to Ultra HD Blu-ray on August 18 with Dolby Vision. I added this title and made some more updates to the site lists.
Quick site update today with the Columbia Classics boxset that looks just splendid. The boxset will contain Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Lawrence of Arabia, Dr. Strangelove, Gandhi, A League of their Own and Jerry Maguire.
Impressions about 4K Blu-ray, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and more
