Paramount will release Zoolander 2 on Blu-ray on May 24th with a DTS:X track.
Again, this is a remix from home as the movie did not receive an object based mix in theaters. I’m beginning to see a trend with more and more remixes done in DTS:X (except for Sony on UHD) while original Atmos being released that way. Anyway, the more object based tracks the better it is.
Amazon has started to take preorders for Eddie The Eagle on Ultra HD Blu-ray coming from the 20th Century Fox on June 14th.
Based on the press release, the movie will include an immersive audio soundtrack, but as the format is not confirmed and this is Fox, I will wait to add it to those lists.
Universal Studios announced today that London Has Fallen, starring Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman will be available on Blu-ray with a DTS:X track on June 14th
This is going to be a brand new immersive audio track as the movie was not mixed that way in theaters. It seems we’re starting to see more and more remixes done in DTS:X, which is great news.
We knew it was coming, but we finally have a date for Game Of Thrones Steelbook Editions of seasons 3 and 4 with Dolby Atmos. Both seasons will be available starting June 7th.
Amazon has started to take preorders of Batman v Superman and the formats include an Ultra HD 4K release. No date or audio formats have been confirmed yet but I’ll keep you posted as soon as I hear more.
There is now a date and preorders have started for two Shout Factory Ultra HD Blu-ray titles that were already announced earlier this year.
Rocky Mountain Express and Flight of the Butterflies will both be available on July 12th in a Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray combo. Flight of the Butterflies includes the 3D Blu-ray version on the film on the same disc as the 2D version.

After Sony announcing the two Ghostbusters movies, it’s not the turn of Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness to be offered on Ultra HD Blu-ray by Paramount on June 14th. The two movies will become the first two releases from Paramount on Ultra HD Blu-ray.
Both movies will be offered with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, the 2009 movie will have a new remix while the sequel will be based upon the theatrical Atmos mix created for the movie.
Sony Pictures just sent a press release announcing officially the new Ultra HD Blu-ray versions of Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 for June 7th.
This has been rumoured for a while as there was already 4K remastered Blu-ray versions available from Sony. Both movies will provide a Dolby Atmos remix and HDR picture.
