Huntsman’s Winter War In DTS:X
Universal Studios announced last week that Huntsman’s Winter War will be available on both Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray with a DTS:X soundtrack. Again, it’s a remix as the movie was not presented in theaters with object based audio.
No released date yet, I’ll update you once we know more.
Criminal on Ultra HD Blu-ray
Quick update to let you know that Lionsgate will release Criminal with Kevin Costner and Tommy Lee Jones on Ultra HD Blu-ray on July 26th.
No info yet on the audio track, I will let you know once I have the info.
Angry Birds In Ultra HD Blu-ray With Dolby Atmos
Sony Pictures confirmed this week that the new Angry Birds movie will be released on Ultra HD Blu-ray later this fall with Dolby Atmos. There will also be 2D and 3D Blu-ray editions, for which I don’t have information on the audio format yet.
Dolby Atmos on Batman v Superman
Batman v Superman : Dawn of Justice is still pending official press release and a release date from Warner, but there’s been confirmation from international information that all three versions (2D Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray and UHD Blu-ray) will feature a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. This should proof a great soundtrack for the format.
Dolby Atmos confirmed on The Martian Extended Edition
Just a quick note to confirm that The Martian Extended Edition features Dolby Atmos on its Ultra HD Blu-ray.
It looks more and more like 20th Century Fox is officially joining the Atmos bandwagon.
